The 24-year-old left Oss for England in January 2015 after scoring 16 goals in 20 Eerste Divisie matches at the start of last season, but in League one the goals have dried up. In 20 games this season, Van Veen has scored only twice, although he hasn’t been utalised in his favoured position as a centre forward.
With Cambuur losing Bartholomew Ogbeche they needed extra fire power up front, and they have now fought off competition from Twente and Roda JC to bring Van Veen back to Netherlands.
Fox Sports have confirmed that Van Veen will join Cambuur on loan until the end of the season, and official confirmation is expected soon from the Leeuwarden club.
