The 20-year-old only lasted 23 minutes of the 1-0 win over Heracles at the weekend before leaving the pitch injured. Tests since have discovered that Bytyqi tore his cruciate ligament, ruling him out for the rest of the campaign.
Bytyqi joined Cambuur from Manchester City in January on loan until the end of the season, as a replacement for Albert Rusnak who was also rented from the Premier League club, but moved to Groningen.
The midfielder made nine appearances for Cambuur, contributing one assist.
