Portuguese newspaper, ‘Record’ is reporting that Luc Castaignos has rejected the chance to join Greek side Aris Salonika.

The striker’s contract at Sporting club de Portugal is up in the summer and he is not needed by head coach Marcel Keizer.

Aris Salonika were willing to offer Castaignos a way out of Portugal but he has decided to reject the move. The 26-year-old wasn’t interested in a move to Greece, where the transfer window is still open.

The former Feyenoord, Inter, FC Twente and Vitesse forward has only made four appearances for Sporting this season, without a goal.
