The 25-year-old is not a regular for Feyenoord under Dick Advocaat, and his contract expires in the summer. Feyenoord are hoping to sell the Peruvian this month in order to get a fee.
According to Voetbal International, Scottish champions Celtic are very interested in signing Tapia as they look to bolster their midfield options. However, they have competition from fierce rivals Rangers, who also want to take Tapia to Glasgow.
Tapia has been with Feyenoord since joining from FC Twente for €1.5 million in 2016. He was regarded as a major talent, but has failed to live up to expectations, and spent part of last season on loan with Willem II.
Rangers are dead and Sevco Rangers and The International Basket of Assets are over 30 million in debt.
They’ll be buying no one.
well done rangers for beating smelsic recently.
55 on the way.
Check SFA, UEFA , FIFA websites. There’s no team called Sevco Rangers. There is a Rangers however formed in 1872 not 2012. Get over it.
Tapia… always great for Peru but disastrous for us. His mistakes lead to goals conceded every match he plays through unnecessary risks, loss of ball, bad passes, gives away penalties.. I like his character and hoped for more but he’s a nightmare. Good riddance.
