According to reports in Germany, Scottish champions Celtic are keeping an eye on VVV Venlo striker Lennart Thy who is on loan from Werder Bremen.

The 26-year-old told BILD last week that he was hoping to return to Werder Bremen in the summer, but a move to Scotland may be on the cards.

According to German website 90min, Celtic sent scouts to watch the forward in action during VVV’s 0-0 draw with Twente on Sunday. The Scottish side reportedly wanted the striker before he joined Werder Bremen from St.Pauli in 2016 and are lining up another move.

Thy has netted seven goals and contributed five assists in 28 appearances for VVV this season. The club were hoping to make his loan deal permanent at the end of the campaign but that now looks unlikely due to other interested clubs.
