According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea are interested in signing Netherlands international Denzel Dumfries from Internazionale.

Inter Milan do not want to sell Dumfries but their financial situation means that one player will need to be sold in order to generate funds. The right-back is one of the most in-demand players in the Inter squad, with Manchester United also linked previously.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea have enquired about the former PSV Eindhoven star. Inter Milan wants €40 million which Chelsea believe is a bit on the high side, but it is not putting them off entirely.

Chelsea have had a frustrating summer with a number of targets moving elsewhere, including Matthijs de Ligt. However, a move for Dumfries could get them back on track ahead of the new campaign.
