According to The Telegraph, Chelsea failed with a January bid for Ajax midfielder Hakim Ziyech but will continue to follow the Moroccan.

Chelsea made a move for the 26-year-old in January but Ajax were adamant that he was not allowed to leave the club.

However, Ajax are bracing themselves for offers in the summer and Chelsea are set to return with another bid.

The Telegraph add that Frank Lampard was frustrated by not getting his target in January but will continue to monitor Ziyech and sanction a summer move if “He continues to impress.”

Jadon Sancho is another target for the Londoners but his €100 million price tag is scaring Chelsea off.

Ziyech is currently out injured but has contributed 21 assists and eight goals in 29 games.
