Tahith Chong has reiterated that he feels staying at Manchester United instead of a move back to the Netherlands this summer was the best decision for him.

The winger was linked with a move back to Feyenoord this summer on loan as well as PSV Eindhoven. However, Chong decided to fight for his place at Manchester United.

So far, Chong is yet to appear in the Premier League this season but speaking to Veronica, the 19-year-old is adamant that he made the right choice, “You discuss it with your family and the club and then you choose what is best for you. That was staying with Manchester United at that time.”

Chong won’t rule out a return to Netherlands in the future, though, “You never know in football, it’s hard to say that now. The season is just starting so the focus is still there and not completely gone. But you never know what can happen. “
