Jasper Cillessen is not happy after being dropped from the Netherlands squad by Frank de Boer earlier this week.

The Valencia stopper has been Netherlands number one for De Boer and was named in the squad before testing positive for coronavirus. De Boer has now decided to drop Cillessen from his squad, and included AZ Alkmaar stopper Marco Bizot in his place.
Speaking to De Telegraaf, Cillessen said, “When the European Championship selection was announced, I was still his first goalkeeper. He already knew that I had tested positive. He then said in Portugal on Sunday that I would join the group immediately if the result of my daily rapid test was negative and that of the subsequent PCR test too. If necessary, I would only join in after the training camp.”
Cillessen is baffled by the sudden change, “I really have no idea what has changed. I have never heard anything else. Until the national coach called me on Tuesday. That makes it extra wry.”
Cillessen is furious but will not go into details, “I don’t want to say things that damage people. I also don’t think it’s appropriate to go all out now, because my teammates are right before the European Championship and we as a Dutch national team have one goal: to perform as well as possible at the European Championship.”

If De Boer misled or did not honor what he said and after today’s game it is absolutely time to look for a coaching replacement because if players cannot trust their coach to honor his word then they cannot be successful. There seem to be much too many things into question with De Boer now, squad selections, tactics, this from Cillessen, and the results! NL has some top talent but they do not have the coach. I wanted to give him a chance but with this from Jasper, in my opinion, NL will waste their talent, cause them to go backwards rather than forward if the current coach continues. We need a coach that honors his word to his players. If what Jasper said is accurate, dump Frank now!

With such a good talent pool at his disposal (far more than what Koeman had), the Oranje will be humiliated in the Euro

I wouldn’t believe that you will be humiliated at the Euros. As an outside observer I would actually guess that you guys shall go pretty far, quarter finals at least. Ukraine is perhaps the weakest they have been in years, North Macedonia is just glad to be in the championship and even though Austria may cause a few problems, the talent gap is just too big between you and the rest of the group. I am certainly not a fan of FDB, he has been rolling downhill ever since he left Ajax. But I think that you will finish the group stage on top, not thanks to, but despite the coaching.
