According to Voetbal International, Netherlands U17 boss Peter van der Veen is set to be appointed as assistant coach with Lommel SK.

Van der Veen led Netherlands U17’s to the European Championships last year and to the semi-finals of the U17 World Cup.

According to Voetbal International, Van der Veen is now set to become assistant coach with Lommel SK, who recently became a branch of Manchester City’s ‘City Group.’

Lommel SK don’t yet have a head coach, but want van der Veen as assistant and a deal is close.

The Belgian second division side recently signed Stijn Wuytens from AZ Alkmaar.
