The former Feyenoord midfielder has only played once for Southampton since signing in the summer after sustaining a hamstring injury, but he made his comeback on Thursday.
Clasie played an hour of Southampton’s friendly against Ajax, which saw the Premier League outfit run out 2-1 winners. Ryan Seager and Juanmi put Southampton 2-0 up before Lasse Schone pulled one back for Frank de Boer’s side from the penalty spot.
Clasie could make his Premier League debut against Leicester City on the 17th of October.
