Van Rhijn has found himself surplus to requirements in Amsterdam since the emergence of Kenny Tete last season and had been expected to leave Ajax this summer. It is Club Brugge who have swooped first for the 25-year-old, who will undergo his medical with the Belgians in the next few days before signing a three-year-deal.
Club Brugge will pay around €1.6 million for van Rhijn while Ajax have also included a sell on fee in the deal.
Van Rhijn made his debut for Ajax in 2011 and racked up over 100 appearances in the Eredivisie since, scoring 4 goals. He has eight caps for the Dutch national team, but last appeared for the Oranje back in 2013.
