Current Barca boss Luis Enrique has already announced that he will depart the club in the summer. Rumours have indicated that the Catalans are looking for a coach who has a past with the Spanish giants, which has led to Cocu’s name being linked, along with fellow Dutchmen Ronald Koeman and Frank de Boer.

However, quoted by NOS, Phillip Cocu responded to the link, “I do not respond, because I’m at PSV and I focus only on PSV.

“If it would be a dream? Everyone has ambition but I focus on what I have a influence on. But Barcelona is a great club that is beyond dispute.”

Cocu played for Barcelone between 1998 and 2004. He is currently in his third full season as PSV boss and going for his third straight Eredivisie title.
