Phillip Cocu has commented on his departure from Derby County which was announced on Saturday evening.

With the club sitting bottom of the Championship table with only one win all season, Derby County took the decision to part ways with Cocu.
Taking to his Instagram account, Cocu said on his departure, “After discussions with the Derby County board, we have decided that it is best for all parties to part ways by mutual agreement. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the club, including board, staff, and all players for their fantastic support since coming to Pride Park.
“Although this season on the field has not yet gone the way we wanted, I believe with passion in the project we started. I have no doubt that the club has a bright future. I want to wish everyone the best, both on and off the field.”
