Depay has been in terrific form for the league leaders this season, and recently shined for the Netherlands in the 2-0 friendly victory over Spain, under the watchful eye of a number of clubs.
Speaking to a press conference before Saturday’s tie with FC Twente, Phillip Cocu conceded that he thinks the 21-year-old is ready to make the next step in his career, away from Eindhoven.
Cocu said, “I think he’s ready for the next step, and I think he’ll leave. That’s what we’re taking into account anyway.”
Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and PSG have all been linked with the attacker, who has a contract until 2018, and may have to bid upwards of €20 million to sign him.
Cocu had more positive news for PSV fans on the future of Jetro Willems, with the coach revealing they are nearing an agreement with the left back on a new contract, “We are in the final stages of talks on a contract extension. I hope we are going to come out.”
