PSV Eindhoven’s Phillip Cocu, AZ Alkmaar’s John van den Brom and Feyenoord’s Giovanni van Bronckhorst are in the running for the award which will be presented on the 11th of May at the Dutch Trainers Congress.

Cocu is nominated due to PSV’s title win, while Van Bronckhorst led Feyenoord to the KNVB Cup. Van den Brom has been praised for his AZ side’s style of play which saw them reach the KNVB Cup final, while they also sit third in the league.

Cocu won the award in 2015 after guiding PSV to the title, but Van Bronckhorst and Van den Brom have yet to get their hands on the prize. The previous two winners were Erik ten Hag and Peter Bosz.

Henk de Jong (De Graafschap), Dick Lukkien (FC Emmen), Gérard de Nooijer (FC Dordrecht), Michael Reiziger (Jong Ajax) and Mike Snoei (Telstar) have been nominated for Eerste Divisie coach of the year.

Ajax, AZ and PSV are fighting it out for academy of the year.
