The Dutch government have confirmed that there will be no professional football played in the country until at least June 1st.

Last week, Marc Rutte confirmed that all group activities were banned until June 1st, but the KNVB held on to the idea that they could resume the season in April without an audience.
However, Rutte has now shutdown this possibility and states that no professional football can be played until June 1st.
The KNVB have now confirmed the end of the Amateur football season, with no champion or relegation’s. However, they are yet to make a decision on the Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
They will await the meeting between UEFA Member states on Wednesday which will discuss how the seasons will go and whether they can be played in the summer. UEFA was hoping to have all campaigns ended by June 30th but that looks unlikely in any country.
A KNVB statement said, “The results of that meeting are important to us because, as Dutch football, we want to be as unambiguous as possible with the other leagues in Europe, although this will pose a challenge in terms of regulations.”
