As De Telegraaf writes this morning, the coronavirus could have frustrating consequences for Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman.

It is widely known that Koeman has a clause in his contract with the KNVB which would allow him to leave his post as national team boss for Barcelona after the European Championships.
The Spanish giants are Koeman’s dream job and they approached the former defender to take over the club in January. However, Koeman stayed loyal to Oranje and said he would not consider leaving until after the Euro’s.
However, the Coronavirus may see the European Championships postponed for a year until 2021. This would mean that Barcelona would not be able to appoint the Dutchman this summer if they decide to sack Quique Setien.
