The game at Ajax’s De Toekomst was a crucial one with Feyenoord just needing a point to take the title while the home side needed a win.
With the game 0-0 at the half-hour mark, trouble kicked off in the crowd with a group of Ajax supporters attacking the friends and family of the Feyenoord players, who were situated among the fans in the stand.
The two sides coaches Dirk Kuyt and John Heitinga both tried to intervene and calm the crowd, while Edwin van der Sar also addressed the supporters.
However, the game had to be called off and will now need to be finished at a later date.
Sadly the trouble will once again end any chance of away fans being allowed into Ajax v Feyenoord games in the Eredivisie.
