Curacao national team boss Remko Bicentini is hoping to convince three big names to turn their back on the Netherlands and represent the small nation.

The small island is currently competing in the Gold Cup and has several players with Eredivisie experience including Charlison Benschop and Eloy Room.

Speaking to De Gelderlander, Curacao boss Remko Bicentini has revealed that he is hoping to convince Riechedly Bazoer, Jurgen Locadia and Patrick van Aanholt to also represent the nation instead of Netherlands.

He said, “Riechedly Bazoer was rented out by VfL Wolfsburg to FC Utrecht this season. He played two exhibition games under Danny Blind. I approached him.

“I am talking to Jürgen Locadia, a former PSV player who now plays at Brighton. Patrick van Aanholt is also in my plans. He has been standing in the Premier League for six years. Choose Curaçao. If you do that, you will find that you are coming in with family. That you are one of us. “

Bazoer has two Netherlands caps but only in friendlies. Locadia has featured in Oranje squads but is yet to make his debut while Van Aanholt has nine international caps, all in friendlies.
