Zenit had a bid for Propper rejected by PSV Eindhoven last week, but might return with an improved offer for the midfielder in the coming days.

Speaking after scoring the winning goal for PSV in their tie at Heracles on Saturday, Propper said, “I have no idea if my goal tonight is my last ever winning goal for PSV.

“I am aware of Zenit St Petersburg interest in me but I will leave it to the clubs to deal with and then I shall think about it.

“I have heard that the clubs are talking to one another and we will see what happens. When a club is interested in you, you can only wait and see what happens and how things develop.”
