Ajax boss Frank de Boer believes Louis van Gaal will be a success at Manchester United if he is given time.

Van Gaal has come under some criticism from supporters of Manchester United and the English media for the way the Premier League giants have played this season, despite the club sitting in the top four.
Speaking to Four-four-two magazine, Frank de Boer, who played under Louis van Gaal at both Ajax and then Barcelona, stated his belief that the former Netherlands coach will be a success in Manchester, if the club give him time.
De Boer said, “Van Gaal wasn’t a factor in my choice to join Barcelona, although my relationship with him was very good. It still is, actually.
“I think he’ll be successful at Manchester United – he just needs some time. The way he thinks and the way he wants to train and play is not something you can demonstrate in months.
“It will take some time and I hope he will be given that. You can already notice improvements within the team.”
