Tottenham are looking to replace Tim Sherwood in the summer, and after their pursuit of Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal fell through, it seems they have turned their attention to Ajax coach Frank de Boer.
It has been confirmed that Tottenham approached Ajax three weeks ago, but it was only a phone call with director Marc Overmars, and no direct contact with De Boer.
De Boer has now confirmed to Voetbal International that he will hold talks with Tottenham in May after the season ends, but also that he intends to stay at Ajax.
He said, “Spurs have let Ajax know they would eventually talk to me when the season’s finished. I told them that I first want to focus on a good end of the season with Ajax, then i would listen.
“And let’s be clear: it is not my intention to leave Ajax. We have a great group of players and I’m thrilled with my time at Ajax. ”
Director Marc Overmars is also not worried about De Boer leaving, he said, “There is still nothing concrete,”
De Boer wrote his name into the Ajax history books on Sunday as the first coach to win four consecutive Eredivisie titles with the club. However he has always stated that he hopes to guide Ajax into the Champions League knock out stages before he leaves, with his contract running to 2017.
Hi guys,
I think Frank de Boer is the right person to take Tottenham to a higher plan. He has a rich experience as a player and proven himself over the last years with Ajax to stick with a good plan, despite of many storms that came his way. He knows his own pros and cons,is a team player and i guess is looking forward to work again with Cristian and Jan.
Execellent choice, take him, i would say.

Hi Jeroen, Spurs fan here, aren’t you a bit sick of us pinching your best players and now manager? I would be, I know I hate it when Real Madrid do it to us! I think Jan might be leaving anyway. Oh and Eriksen is awesome!
to spen, thats the point: it gives us the chance to produce a new talent to its fullest by letting someone leave and grow individually.
to be honest we are happy when other teams want our players and managers, it means we are doing something right and are consistent with it.
would like to see ronald de boer continue if frank leaves.
COME ON AJAX
