Frank de Boer believes he will be back coaching clubs in Europe if his spell with Atlanta United in the MLS goes well.

After unsuccessful periods in charge of Inter Milan and Crystal Palace, Frank de Boer decided to move to America to take charge of MLS champions Atlanta United.

Speaking to NOS, de Boer explained his choice and belief that he will be back coaching in Europe.

He said, “People often think that football in America is poor, but nothing shows that that is the case, I ended up at a real football club. I’m sure: if I do something good here, I’ll be back in the picture at clubs in Europe.

“I could have made other choices, especially in Europe. But I immediately had a very good feeling here.”

De Boer is also enthusiastic about the academy at Atlanta, “When Marc Overmars congratulated me, he also said that many clubs could learn from Atlanta. How they have built everything and in terms of player policy. Atlanta is going to train young talents, just as we want in the Netherlands. ”
