As rumors persist concerning the future of Roberto Mancini as coach of Italian side Inter Milan, it seems former Ajax coach Frank De Boer is being considered for the position.
Relationships have been strained between Mancini and Inter’s new owners “The Suning Group” since they took control of the club, with this summer’s transfer activity or lack of the main source of concern.
According to De Telegraaf intial meetings between De Boer’s representatives and Inter officials have already taken place with the former Dutch international ready to fly out next week for more talks.
De Boer has been searching for a new role since ending his six-year spell in charge of Ajax at the end of the season. His name has been linked with Southampton, Everton, Valencia and even AC Milan this summer, but it appears Inter Milan will be the club to offer the 46-year-old a new challenge.
