According to Voetbal International, Frank de Boer is set to be named the new head coach of Serie A giants Inter Milan in the next 24 hours.

de boer ajax europInter confirmed the sacking of Roberto Mancini on Monday and are close to appointing De Boer, who is negotiating the final touches on a three-year deal in Milan. The Dutchman should be confirmed in his new job within the next 24 hours.

It will be the first foreign coaching job for De Boer, who left Ajax at the end of last season after six successful years in charge. Orlando Trustfull, who assisted De Boer at Ajax is expected to join him in Milan along with Alessandro Schoenmaker, Michele Santoni and Michel Kreek.

Inter Milan finished fourth in Seria A last season and De Boer will be tasked with taking them back to the Champions League. However, he will be unable to change his selection much this summer with the club under the supervision of UEFA state after breaking the Financial Fair Play rules.
