Speaking to Fox Sports after Ajax’s 4-2 win over Twente, Frank de Boer admitted his eyes are on other targets, but that Van der Vaart is “Always welcome” at the club.

“He is an experienced player who can play in multi-position’s. With his experience I think he is always welcome.”

“Our first arrows are directed to other people, but I think he’s a very interesting option for us. But I had already said that at the beginning of the season,”
