Frank de Boer has confirmed he will make changes to his Netherlands side for the clash with Poland on Wednesday.

De Boer is without Ryan Babel who tested positive for coronavirus, but he will make changes to the side that defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday.

He told his press conference, “I want to have fresh legs in the team. Anyone can play.”

De Boer explained why he did not call a replacement for Babel, “There are other options to put there. I didn’t think it would be sensible to put someone in the bubble.”

Netherlands can still reach the final four of the Nations League but must beat Poland and hope for a Italy slip up in Bosnia, “We are not in control. We must hope for Italy to slip. But if they play like they did against Poland … then they were very good. But we don’t know what the conditions are like there in Bosnia, with the field for example.”
