Last week De Boer stated to the media that he has made his decision over his future with Ajax and would tell the club in a meeting next week. The 45-year-old has been with Ajax for six years and is set to pick up his fifth Eredivisie trophy on Sunday.
Everton and Valencia have both been linked with a move for De Boer this summer, and his agent Guido Albers has told NOS that his client would definitely be interested in either side.
He said, He’d love to join a club like Everton or Valencia. It’s all about the right philosophy and how they play football. That is what Frank is looking for.”
However, Albers stressed that he is not in talks with any club, “I have told Ajax that there is no other club and i have not held discussions with anyone.
“Frank says he now needs his focus to be champion, so I do not trouble him.”
Off topic, but I really wanted to ask a couple of questions:
1. What happens, if Ajax win 1:0 and PSV 7:0? What’s the criteria of team positioning in the case of identical goal difference?
2. The Eerste divisie playoffs have already started, as I see. I always thought that teams from #2-#5 would play one another and the winners would challenge the Eredivisie #16 & #17, but that clearly was a wrong assumption. So what is the real situation with ths promotion/relegation system?
Thanks in advance! We’ll be broadcasting GRA-AJA today, can’t wait!!
Come to Everton, Frankie. We’d love to have you. Martinez times is up and you could take what he’s been trying to do and make it a whole lot better. Lukaku will go so you could sign Janssen. And GW will be looking for a new club. And to round it off, bring along El Ghazi with you.
Well I can at least dream.
