The 27-year-old has impressed the new Eredivisie club on trial this week, and has been taken on permanently for one season.
Driver started his career as a left winger for Scottish side Heart of Midlothian, before joining American side Houston Dynamo in 2013. Last March he returned to Scotland for a short spell with Aberdeen, before becoming a free agent at the end of the season.
Technical manager Peter Hofstede told Voetbal International, “He is a player that suits us. A type of midfielder that we were looking for and someone who puts a lot of passion in his game. ”
Driver becomes De Graafschap’s eight signing of the summer, but the club are still on the lookout for a left back and a striker.
