Azor Matusiwa got free and set up striker Charlison Benschop to open the scoring. Ten minutes later, Matusiwa nearly scored an own goal but his blushes were spared by the post.
Heerenveen barely threatened an equaliser and twenty minutes from time, De Graafschap made it 2-0 as Javier Vet scored from a corner. Moments later, Delano Burgzorg settled the victory with a solo effort.
