The Dutchman is no longer part of the plans at Napoli, and will certainly leave the Italians this month despite the fact he is set to go under surgery.
De Guzman’s agent, Fabio Parisi told Radio Crc that although the midfielder is set to go under the knife, he will be back in action shortly, and probably at a club in the Premier League.
Parisi said, “Tomorrow De Guzman will undergo surgery, and he’ll resume training within 10 days, though probably not with Napoli,”
“The surgery is set for tomorrow, it’s a very minor thing which was already agreed, and over the next 10 days he’ll start training.
“I’m working with (Napoli director) Giuntoli. There are several solutions, but he’s likely to resume training with another team.
“We’re in perfect harmony with Napoli and Giuntoli and we’ll solve every problem. I think there will be several options abroad, in the Premier League.
“Swansea? We’re working on several fronts, he has many admirers, and with a bit of calm we’ll decide everything.
“We’re sorry to be leaving with Napoli top of the League, but things went a certain way and there’s no problem.”
Swansea City aren’t the only Premier League club to be linked with De Guzman, with Bournemouth and Sunderland also reportedly interested.
