ziyech ttweDe Haan’s side play host to Ziyech’s FC Twente on Saturday and build up to the match has understandably concentrated on the midfielder, who came through the youth ranks at Heerenveen before moving to Enschede in 2014.

Speaking to De Telegraaf, De Haan believes Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has missed the opportunity to add some creativity to his midfield by not signing the Moroccan.

He said, “If I were Guus Hiddink, I would have taken him,”

“He fits Chelsea. With the solutions that he comes up with he is better than other players who are currently there.

“He can absolutely succeed there. Hakim can also play as a striker so he can set the goals up and also score himself easily.

“Some guys are so talented that they look anywhere and see a challenge. Hakim is like that.”

Ziyech rejected moves to Sampdoria and Hoffenheim during January, but is certain to leave FC Twente this summer. The midfielder has scored 11 goals and added eight assists in 19 league games this season.
