Luuk de Jong scored a hat-trick as league leaders PSV Eindhoven defeated 10-man PEC Zwolle 4-0 in the Philips Stadion.

Both sides went into the game after midweek cup defeats, while PEC Zwolle were without first choice goalkeeper Diederik Boer, who saw red in their loss at AZ Alkmaar.

His replacement, Mickey van der Hart only lasted 42 minutes before seeing red for taking out Hirving Lozano as the winger raced in on goal.

His replacement Mike Hauptmeijer was beaten three minutes into injury time in the first half, with Luuk de Jong heading PSV in front from a corner. On 65 minutes, Lozano once again provided a cross for De Jong to head in a second for the hosts, who piled forward at will.

In the 72nd minute, De Jong completed his hat-trick before Joshua Brenet sealed the win with an excellent finish late on.

PSV move ten points clear of Ajax, who play on Sunday, while PEC Zwolle are fifth.
