Frenkie de Jong still believes he has plenty to improve in order to become one of the best players in the world.

The 21-year-old will leave Ajax for Barcelona in an €86 million plus bonuses move this summer.

Speaking to Trouw, De Jong said he still has to work hard in order to improve his game, “I think that as a football player you will always have points for improvement. I certainly do. I am still a young player. I am still not at the top of the world. To get there I have to stay hungry to keep improving myself.

De Jong also added he is not worried about his price tag, “In general I have no problems with it. Everyone is free to say something about me. I think I have a reasonable idea of what I can improve.”
