De Jong left Ajax for Barcelona in the summer and the Catalan giants were also heavily linked with De Ligt, but in the end he decided to join Juventus.
Speaking to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport, De Jong said, “I have not seen all his matches, so I cannot analyze everything. I have seen the games against Fiorentina and Atlético Madrid. He has done very well. So far he plays a lot. He is doing well, so he started well. It is still a very young player. That you are at such an age and playing at a club like Juventus is very good. “
