Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong has told Four Four Two he would have no issue with beating Barcelona should they meet in the Champions League.

De Jong will swap Amsterdam for Barcelona this summer but before then he could face his new employers in the Champions League final. Ajax face Tottenham in the semi-finals, while Barcelona clash with Liverpool.

On the potential meeting with Barcelona, De Jong told Four Four Two, “That would be special, but at the same time it doesn’t matter to me who we play. As long as I’m an Ajax player, I want Ajax to win.

“I’d have no qualms about trying to knock out Barcelona like we did Real Madrid.”
