The match in Turin was played in front of an empty stadium with fans banned due to fears over the coronavirus. Dutch international’s Matthijs de Ligt and Stefan de Vrij lined up on opposite ends of the pitch in a clash between two sides very much in the running for the title.
Both sides were sloppy in the first half with neither dominating the match, but 54th minute, Aaron Ramsey gave the hosts the lead with a close range strike that hit off De Vrij’s foot before finding the net.
Substitute Paulo Dybala then settled the game in the 67th minute with a strike into the far corner.
De Ligt played the full ninety minutes for Juventus and will take confidence from keeping a clean sheet.
