Matthijs de Ligt got on the scoresheet as Juventus comfortably defeated Lecce 4-0 on Friday evening.

The Dutchman has been excellent for Juventus since the Serie A campaign resumed and he was once again in the starting line-up on Friday.

The league leaders initially struggled to break down Lecce, and the first-half remained goalless despite Fabio Lucioni being sent off in the 31st minute.

However, eight minutes into the second half, Paulo Dybala broke the deadlock before Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain made it 3-0. With five minutes left, De Ligt got himself on the scoresheet with a header from close range.

The centre-back has now scored three goals in his first campaign in Turin. Juventus also move seven points ahead of second-placed Lazio.
