Matthijs de Ligt is set to play his first game of the season after returning to full Juventus training.

The centre-back had shoulder surgery back in August and hasn’t played a single game this season.

However, it has been confirmed on Tuesday that De Ligt is back in full training with Juventus and can make his return to the pitch this weekend against Cagliari.

It is a boost for Juventus, who are currently sitting fifth in the Serie A table after four draws from their opening seven games.
