vn ginkel stokeVan Ginkel joined Chelsea from Vitesse in 2013, but a long term injury ruined his first season in London, before the midfielder spent two loan spells with AC Milan and Stoke City.

On Monday, Van Ginkel cut short his spell in Stoke City to join PSV Eindhoven until the end of the season, and Chelsea scout Piet de Visser believes the 23-year-old will now finally show his true quality in the Eredivisie.

De Visser is quoted by GOAL, saying, “Chelsea will see Marco is still a top player. The next six months will be very important to him. Marco started well with us, but he was obviously awfully unlucky with that injury.”

Van Ginkel is set to make his PSV debut on Thursday evening in the KNVB Cup tie with Utrecht.
