On Friday, De Telegraaf revealed that Norwich City and Ajax were in talks for Dijks, who has fallen behind Daley Sinkgraven as Peter Bosz’s first choice left-back.
A fee of €4 million was agreed and Dijks even travelled to England to hold talks with Norwich, but his agent has told De Telegraaf, that the 23-year-old has decided against the move and will remain with Ajax.
Dick van Burik said, ‘The trainer (Alex Neil) had a good story, but ultimately Mitchell still has not decided to opt for Norwich City.
“The feeling should be 100% and it was not. A club like Norwich doesn’t deserve 90%.”
