The 19-year-old netted 23 times in all competition’s last season in what was his first campaign in the Ajax first team. His performances have sparked interest from all over Europe and last week reports in Spain claimed that Real Madrid were eyeing the Dane.
However, speaking to De Telegraaf, Dolberg stated that he wants to remain in Amsterdam.
He said, “It might be somewhat strange in modern day football, where everyone appears to be for sale, but Overmars made a statement with his comment that I am not for sale, and I am fine with it. I want to stay and will not be leaving.”
Asked whether he wanted a similar career to his new teammate Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Dolberg responded, “A similar career to Huntelaar? Real Madrid would be alright. Milan and Schalke are nice clubs as well. And everyone dreams about finishing second and third at a World Cup. I will just follow my own path, though.”
