Dolberg, who was only promoted to the Ajax first team in the summer, has hit the ground running in his first Eredivisie campaign, scoring four goals in eight league games so far this season. The 19-year-old is the 27th Danish player to play for Ajax.
Speaking to NOS, Dolberg spoke about being compared to an Ajax legend and the influence of his hero Dennis Bergkamp.
He said, “I have heard the comparisons between me and Wim Kieft. I was not really aware of him but I have seen a few films on the internet. I have however seen a lot of video’s of my hero Dennis Bergkamp on YouTube.
“Dennis Bergkamp was a fantastic player and it’s great to work with him in training because he knows so much and he gives so many good tips and it stimulates you to listen more to the advice he gives. It’s a pleasure to be able to work with him.”
