A hat-trick from Georgian midfielder Valeri Qazaishvili helped Vitesse hammer Dordrecht 6-2 and claim their first away win of the season.

vitesse sddsAfter gaining four points from their last two fixtures Vitesse went into the game in a confident mood and after 12 minutes Abiola Dauda poked a cross into the bottom corner for his fourth goal in five matches.

Seven minutes later it was 2-0 for the away side as Denys Oliynk smashed the ball into the net from close range after initially seeing his header blocked by a Dordrecht defender. It could have been worse for Dordrecht before the break but Dauda shot over the bar from a few yards out.

Ten minutes into the second half Qazaishvili, who was only in the side after Davy Propper was injured during the warm up, scored his first goal of the night before wing back Wallace added a fourth a few minutes later.

Jeffry Fortes pulled a goal back for Dordrecht with a good finish from Mart Lieder’s pass, but Qazaishvili restored Vitesse’s four goal lead after good build up play involving Wallace, Kelvin Leerdam, and Marko Vejinovic.

Ryan Koolwijk curled excellently into the top corner to pull a goal back for the home side with ten minutes left, but Qazaishvili rounded off his hat-trick in the final minute.

The win lifts Vitesse up to 11th in the table while Dordrecht slip into the bottom two.
