After leaving Greek side Niki Volos, Luijckx has been training with former club NAC Breda on an amateur contract, but the 28-year-old now has the chance to earn a deal in England.
Luijckx will spend this week with Birmingham City, who currently sit 11th in the English Championship, and if he impresses boss Gary Rowett a deal could be presented.
After starting his career with AZ Alkmaar, Luijckx spent seasons on loan with Excelsior and ADO Den Haag before moving to NAC Breda in 2010. The defender spent three years in Breda, playing over 90 matches for NAC before moving to Roda JC in 2013.
The centre back only spent one year in Kerkrade, leaving after the side was relegated from the Eredivisie.
