A round-up of how all the Dutchmen featuring in Europe’s biggest league’s fared over the weekend. 

de-boer-interItalian Serie A

Frank de Boer was under immense pressure this weekend after the Europa League defeat at home to Hapoel Beer Sheva, but his Inter Milan side made it two league wins in a row with a 2-1 victory over Juventus on Sunday. It was their first home win over the Serie A champions since 2010.

Lazio eased to a 3-0 win over Pescara on Saturday with Stefan de Vrij keeping a clean sheet in the centre of defence. Wesley Hoedt was an unused substitute while Ricardo Kishna wasn’t in the squad.

Kevin Strootman played the full game for Roma in their 1-0 defeat to Fiorentina on Sunday evening. Kevin Diks was an unused substitute for the Viola.

The early game on Sunday saw Chievo record a 2-1 win away at Udinese with Jonathan de Guzman appearing as a late substitute.

Ouasim Bouy was an unused substitute in Palermo’s 1-1 draw at Crotone.

Timo Letschert was an unused substitute for Sassuolo in their 2-0 win over Genoa on Sunday.

German Bundesliga

Arjen Robben was back in the Bayern Munich squad on Saturday but remained on the bench for their 3-1 win over Ingolstadt.

Jeffrey Gouweleeuw got himself an assist to put Augsburg level in their tie with Mainz on Sunday but couldn’t prevent his side eventually losing 3-1. Paul Verhaegh also played the full game for Augsburg.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar failed to make an impact for Schalke in their 2-0 defeat away at Hertha Berlin on Sunday. The striker played the full ninety minutes.

English Premier League

Georginio Wijnaldum was once again in good form for Liverpool on Friday night as his side beat Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. The midfielder played the full ninety minutes and put in an assured performance.

Ronald Koeman’s Everton moved up to second place in the Premier League with a 3-1 win at home to Middlesbrough despite Maarten Stekelenburg scoring a first half own goal. Marten de Roon completed his first full Premier league game for Middlesbrough but failed to make a big impact.

Daley Blind was dropped to the bench for Manchester United in their 3-1 defeat away to Watford. Daryl Janmaat claimed an assist for the Hornets, while Memphis Depay appeared as a late substitute but had little time to make an impact. Timothy Fosu-Mensah was once again not named in the United squad.

Stoke City are rock bottom of the Premier League after a 4-1 defeat away to Crystal Palace. Bruno Martins Indi had a torrid time again in the centre of defence for the Potters, while Erik Pieters was an unused substitute.

Southampton finally recorded their first win of the season after seeing off Swansea City 1-0 with both Jordy Clasie and Virgil van Dijk starting for the Saints. Leroy Fer played the full game for Swansea City while Mike van der Hoorn was once again unused on the bench.

Vincent Janssen appeared as a late substitute in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Sunderland and blazed a good chance over the bar. Patrick van Aanholt was due to start for Sunderland but in a strange moment he was replaced in the warm up and didn’t even feature on the bench. Michel Vorm was an unused substitute.

Nathan Ake was an unused substitute as Bournemouth lost 4-0 away at Arsenal.

English Championship

Vurnon Anita was shown a straight red card for Newcastle United as they slipped to a shock 2-0 defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers. Ola John didn’t feature for Wolves.

Lex Immers appeared from the bench for Cardiff City with two minutes to go of their 2-0 defeat at home to Leeds United.

Marvin Emnes was on the scoresheet for Blackburn Rovers as they beat Rotherham United 4-2. The striker also registered two assists during the game.

Jaap Stam’s Reading survived an early red card to beat in-form Barnsley 2-1. Roy Beerens started the game but was substituted after 72 minutes, while Joey van den Berg was suspended.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink saw his QPR side defeated once again on Saturday with league leaders Huddersfield Town coming out on top 2-1. Rajiv van la Parra set up Huddersfield’s first goal, while Tjarron Chery assisted QPR’s consolation goal.

Maikel Keiftenbeld started for Birmingham in their 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday but came off after the hour mark. Glen Loovens played the full game for the Owls, who did not yet have a place for Urby Emanuelson in their squad.

Yanick Wildschut couldn’t help Wigan break the deadlock in a 0-0 draw against Fulham. The winger played the full ninety minutes.

Spanish La Liga

Jasper Cillessen was an unused substitute for Barcelona in their 5-1 win at Leganes.

Ryan Donk was not in the Real Betis squad for their 2-2 draw with Granada.

Ryan Babel was not in the squad for Deportivo la Coruna in their 0-0 draw at Alaves.

French Ligue 1

Karim Rekik was dropped to the bench for Marseille as they drew 0-0 with Lyon on Sunday evening.

Portuguese Primeira Liga

Douglas, Marvin Zeegelar and Luc Castaignos were all missing from Sporting Lisbon’s squad for their tie at Rio Ave while Bas Dost started on the bench. Dost appeared for the second half with his side trailing 3-0 and pulled one back late on as Sporting went down 3-1.

Russian Premier League

Quincy Promes was in great form for Spartak Moscow in their 3-1 win over Orenburg on Friday which lifted the club to the top of the Russian Premier League. The winger netted twice and added an assist in a 3-1 win.

Swiss Cup

Jean-Paul Boetius was given the chance to impress for Basel in their cup tie with Zug and the winger set up the only goal in the game as his side progressed to the next round.

Turkish Super Lig

Wesley Sneijder was in fine form for Galatasaray on Saturday evening as they beat Rizespor 2-0. The Dutchman set up Derdiyok to net both goals, while Nigel de Jong did not feature.

Adam Maher appeared from the bench with twenty minutes to go for Osmanlispor and helped them see out a 1-0 win over Adanaspor.

Dick Advocaat finally got his first league win as Fenerbahce boss on Monday night with his side beating Kasimpasa 4-1. Gregory van der Wiel and Jeremain Lens both featured from the start, while Robin van Persie was not in the squad.
