A goal in the first thirty seconds from Riechedly Bazoer was enough for Ajax to sneak a 1-0 win over Vitesse Arnhem.

Bazoer was the victim of hateful racist chanting from ADO Den Haag fans last week, but the midfielder did all the talking with his feet against Vitesse as he opened the scoring in the 27th second. A cross from Mitchell Dijks was spilled by Eloy Room and Bazoer was first to react and slammed the ball into the net.
Vitesse have been a bogey side for Ajax in recent seasons, but they failed to truly threaten Jasper Cillessen in the home goal, with a long range effort from Marvelous Nakamba in the second half the closest they came.
The home side also failed to find their groove going forward, but Anwar El Ghazi came close to adding a second late on with his fierce strike forcing Eloy Room into a fingertip save.
The win keeps Ajax in pole position for the title and they sit six points ahead of PSV, who play Twente tomorrow. Vitesse slip to fifth.
