Edgar Davids has been named the new head coach of Portuguese third division side Olhanense.

The former midfielder has been working as an assistant with Keuken Kampioen Divisie side Telstar recently, but has now decided to leave for a new role in Portugal.

Davids took the Instagram to announce that he is now the head coach of third division side Olhanense.

The 47-year-old is the successor of José Carlos Araújo at Olhanense and has the challenge to help the club back to the highest level.

It is Davids second spell as a head coach after he was in charge of Barnet between 2012 and 2014.
