Eintracht Frankfurst have confirmed an agreement has been reached with Sparta Rotterdam to sign striker Ragner Ache, who will remain in the Netherlands until the summer.

The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with his hometown club for months but the deal was finally made official on Friday. Sparta have accepted an undisclosed fee from Eintracht Frankfurt, with the striker heading to Germany next summer.

Ache told the Sparta website, “Frankfurt has been my club since I was a kid and I am happy to sign there. But when I lived there, Sparta was my club in the Netherlands. As a little boy, I was already wearing the Sparta shirt in Germany that I got from my stepfather I have completed the youth training here and am very grateful to everyone who helped me to achieve this. Now I want to close my period at the club well, by ensuring that Sparta stays in the Eredivisie, ”

The Germany U21 international was born in Frankfurt but came through the Sparta youth academy. This season he has scored five goals and three assists in seventeen games.
